Director & Playwright
Glenn is an award winning emerging director based in London available to direct and assistant direct in both the UK and the broader European market. In addition to directing both musicals and plays, Glenn is a playwright with a focus on adaptations and multi-disciplinary collaborations and workshops.
Born in the United States, Glenn relocated to the United Kingdom in 2017 to complete his MA in Theatre Directing under Director Katie Mitchell in the inaugural class of this program at Royal Holloway – University of London.
Recognized as Creative Loafing’s Director of the Year in 2011, Glenn’s accolades include Best Director of a Musical for both Grey Gardens and Heathers the Musical, as well as Best Director of a Play for Casa Valentina and Sylvia.
He founded and was Artistic Director of Queen City Theatre Company (2010 Theatre Company of the Year) in North Carolina, an organization that theatrically explored the human experience with a focus on works that represented the LGBT community as well as the different races, religions, genders and sexual orientations that exist in the world.
A selection of directing credits throughout his career in the United States includes: An Act of God, P.S. Your Cat is Dead, Casa Valentina, The Money Shot, Buyer and Cellar, Cock, The Performers, Bent, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Rope, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Educating Rita, Me and Jezebel, The Irish Curse, Die Mommie Die, Anna Karenina, Shadowlands, The Baltimore Waltz, Our Countries Good, Sylvia, and The Winter’s Tale.
Musical Directing Credits include: Heathers the Musical, Next to Normal, Falsettos, Evita, Chess, Xanadu, Grey Gardens, Altar Boyz, Passion, Side-Show, 9 to 5 the Musical and Pageant.
Glenn’s adaptations have been produced professionally in the United States, including You Might As Well Live, a one woman show focusing on the life of Dorothy Parker, which he both wrote and directed Off-Broadway.
